MULTI-SKILLED DOOR ENGINEER

Location: North London & Surrounding Areas
Salary: Up to £21.70 per hour
Hours: 42.5 hours per week + overtime available
On-Call: 1 in 5 rota

We're looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Door Engineer to join a well-established and growing business covering North London and the surrounding areas.

This is a varied, hands-on role covering the installation, service, maintenance, repair and fault finding of automatic and industrial door systems, with the opportunity to work across gates and barriers too.

It's a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys a good mix of work rather than purely servicing and breakdowns, with a strong basic rate, full door-to-door travel pay, regular overtime and ongoing training and development.

THE ROLE

• Installing and commissioning automatic and industrial door systems

• Servicing and maintaining existing door equipment

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs

• Electrical and mechanical fault finding

• Completing upgrades, remedial works and replacement installations

• Working across automatic doors, roller shutters, sectional doors, high-speed doors and associated systems

• Working on gates, barriers and access systems where required

• Attending customer sites across North London and surrounding areas

• Completing engineer worksheets, service reports and site documentation

• Liaising directly with customers and providing a high level of service

• Working independently and managing your daily workload

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous experience working with automatic and/or industrial door systems

• Experience across installation, service, maintenance or repair

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills

• Experience with equipment such as automatic pedestrian doors, roller shutters, sectional doors or high-speed doors

• Ability to work across a range of manufacturers and equipment

• Good knowledge of industry standards and safe working practices

• Good customer service and communication skills

• Full UK driving licence

Experience with gates, barriers and access control systems would be advantageous but isn't essential.

We're open to engineers with a strong background in either automatic or industrial doors who are keen to develop their skills across additional systems.

LOCATION

This is a field-based position covering North London and surrounding areas, with engineers ideally located in North London or within a reasonable commuting distance.
