Job Description — Lead Software Engineer, iOS


Location: Remote

Role Overview

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer, iOS to lead the development and delivery of high-quality iOS applications. The role involves hands-on development, technical leadership, code reviews, and collaboration with product, design, QA, and backend teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of iOS applications.
  • Develop scalable, high-performance, and user-friendly mobile applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and reusable Swift code.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other iOS developers.
  • Review code and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Backend teams to deliver features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance, stability, and production issues.
  • Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
  • Ensure applications follow Apple’s design, security, and development guidelines.
  • Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing, and release processes.
  • Stay updated with the latest iOS technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with Swift and iOS SDK.
  • Hands-on experience with UIKit and/or SwiftUI.
  • Good understanding of iOS architecture, design patterns, and application lifecycle.
  • Experience with REST APIs and integrating backend services.
  • Strong knowledge of Git and software development best practices.
  • Experience with unit/UI testing and debugging.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Prior experience providing technical leadership or mentoring developers.
