The Role

• Operate heavy machinery to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to manage container placement within the intermodal yard.
• Utilize equipment such as top loaders, side loaders, and cranes for container stacking and organization.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics tasks.
• Uphold safety standards and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is essential for this role.
• Prior experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• A strong commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the capacity to function effectively within a team.
