Job Description

We are seeking an experienced US Licensed Structural Professional Engineer (PE) with strong expertise in structural design, analysis, and engineering review of E-Houses, modular structures, and equipment skids. The candidate must hold an active US Professional Engineer (PE) license and have extensive experience reviewing, approving, signing, and sealing structural engineering calculations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently review structural designs and engineering calculation packages for E-Houses, equipment skids, and modular structures.

  • Review structural components, including base frames, wall and roof framing, equipment supports, lifting and rigging conditions, transportation loads, environmental loads, anchorage, and foundation interfaces.

  • Verify compliance with applicable US building codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE 7, and AISC.

  • Review structural design assumptions, load combinations, analysis results, and calculation methodologies.

  • Provide technical guidance and review comments to structural design engineers.

  • Sign and seal structural calculation packages in states where actively licensed and authorized.

  • Take professional responsibility for sealed engineering deliverables in accordance with applicable licensing requirements.

  • Respond to AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction), state-agency, and plan-review comments.

  • Review design modifications and issue revised stamped calculation packages when required.

  • Coordinate with engineering teams and customers to resolve structural and code-compliance issues.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.

  • 7–15 years of relevant structural engineering experience.

  • Active US Professional Engineer (PE) License – Mandatory.

  • Minimum 7 years of PE stamping and sealing experience.

  • Strong experience in E-House, modular structures, and equipment skid projects.

  • Strong knowledge of structural analysis and steel design.

  • Experience with US codes and standards, including:

    • IBC

    • ASCE 7

    • AISC

    • State-specific structural requirements

  • Experience in structural design review, analysis, and calculation verification.

  • Experience responding to AHJ or state-agency review comments.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to work onsite in Maple Grove, Minnesota.

  • Candidates must have an active US PE license.

  • Strong technical communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
