Your New Role and ResponsibilitiesLeidos Australia is seeking multiple skilled Linux Administrators to join our AGO GEO SPACES program, delivering advanced national security technology solutions in a secure, high compliance environment.
These key technical roles are responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of the organisation's Linux server environment and associated infrastructure, ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of mission critical systems that underpin core business and operational outcomes.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for complex Linux issues, ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Manage virtualised environments (VMware/KVM) and physical systems such as HP OneView and GreenLake.
- Develop system configurations using Ansible, Puppet or Chef, and manage the SOE lifecycle with Kickstart.
- Administer accounts, permissions and authentication services (LDAP and similar), maintaining security compliance.
- Implement required security controls, including firewalls and mandatory access controls, and automate tasks using Bash, Python or Perl.
- Extensive experience with enterprise grade Linux distributions such as RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu and SUSE.
- Strong capability in managing user access and authentication services, including OpenLDAP and similar systems.
- Hands on experience with configuration and deployment tools including Ansible, Puppet and Chef.
- Skilled in virtualisation technologies such as VMware ESXi/vSphere and KVM.
- Proven Level 2/3 incident management experience, resolving complex issues in enterprise environments.

Due to the nature of the role, you must be an Australian Citizen who holds an active TSPV security clearance; accompanied by the ability to be successful for DISA/OSA.

Pay RangeThe Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
