Salary & Benefits

Salary up to £55,000, hybrid working at 2-3 days in the office.

The Opportunity

Our client, a well-established financial planning business, is growing its Edinburgh office and is looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join the team. You'll support experienced Financial Planning Directors in delivering high quality, client-focused advice, backed by full exam support, hybrid working, and a genuinely developmental environment.

The Role

You'll be responsible for preparing and writing high quality, client-focused advice, and helping deliver annual reviews for the firm's clients. You'll work closely with the Financial Planning Directors, attending client meetings, preparing meeting notes, and carrying out the research behind each piece of advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver high quality, client-focused advice
  • Prepare cashflows to help clients meet their long-term financial goals
  • Accompany Financial Planning Directors to client meetings, preparing notes and supporting research
  • Manage your own workload, balancing commercial and pragmatic delivery

What We're Looking For

  • CII Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent (essential)
  • 2+ years' paraplanning experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK tax (Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, Income Tax), pensions and estate planning
  • CII Chartered Financial Planner status (desirable)
