Lead Enterprise Application Architect (.NET & AI-Augmented Development)

We are seeking a senior Application Architect with deep .NET and SQL Server expertise to design, modernize, and scale enterprise applications. This role leads solution architecture across Microsoft and Java platforms while driving the adoption of AI-augmented development (GitHub Copilot) across engineering teams.

Core Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design: Build secure, scalable .NET (C#/ASP.NET Core) and SQL Server solutions using Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Database Optimization: Design data models and advanced T-SQL (stored procedures, indexing, partitioning, Always On availability groups).
• AI & Automation: Lead the team adoption of GitHub Copilot, including advanced prompt engineering and AI-assisted code reviews/testing.
• Modernization: Drive legacy application migration into cloud-native environments and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure solutions meet strict identity governance (Entra ID), PII protection, and WCAG accessibility standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• 4+ years as an Application/Solution Architect on enterprise .NET & SQL Server projects.
• Expert-level: C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, and Web APIs.
• Advanced Database Skills: Execution plans, Query Store tuning, and security (RLS, DDM).
• Hands-on Experience: Daily professional use of GitHub Copilot for development and team enablement.
• Legacy Migration: Proven experience converting legacy data models into modern software architectures.
• Industry Background: Prior experience in the public sector, utilities, or regulated industries is highly preferred.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Bonus: Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification or familiarity with IBM FileNet/BAW.
