Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior PL/SQL Developer with 10+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle database development, PL/SQL programming, performance tuning, and enterprise application support. The candidate should have strong experience developing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and database solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views.
• Develop optimized SQL queries for large-volume transactional and reporting systems.
• Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Analyze execution plans and improve database performance using indexing and optimization techniques.
• Develop and maintain ETL/data processing scripts and database interfaces.
• Work with business analysts and application teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform database debugging, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
• Participate in database design, data modeling, and schema development.
• Develop data migration and conversion scripts when required.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
• Support database deployments, releases, and production environments.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to team members.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of strong experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle Database and relational database concepts.
• Strong experience with Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, Cursors, Collections, and Dynamic SQL.
• Expertise in complex SQL queries, joins, subqueries, analytical functions, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of indexes, partitions, execution plans, and query optimization.
• Experience with database design, normalization, and data modeling.
• Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting is preferred.
• Knowledge of ETL tools and data integration is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle 12c/19c or higher.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise applications and high-volume databases.
• Knowledge of Oracle RAC, partitioning, and database performance monitoring.
• Exposure to Java/.NET application integration with Oracle databases.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, Jira, or other development/DevOps tools.
• Experience in financial, healthcare, insurance, or other enterprise domains is a plus.
