Job description

Work within an 8-10 person team to resolve hardware trouble tickets as they arise. This is a break/fix role focusing on servers and desktops within the environment. All work is done on-site at Buckley SFB on a rotating Panama schedule. Monitor and work assigned hardware trouble tickets through resolution. Diagnose, isolate, and repair failures affecting enterprise servers, desktops, and related hardware. Replace failed components and verify that repaired equipment operates correctly before returning it to service.

Perform first-level hardware triage and collect relevant diagnostic information for escalation when an issue cannot be resolved locally. Maintain the server and desktop repair queue, prioritize incidents based on operational impact, and provide clear status updates. Support hardware installations, removals, upgrades, replacements, and equipment moves as assigned. Assist with basic rack, cable, and peripheral work when required by the environment. Validate repair steps, hardware configurations, serial numbers, and other asset information in technical records or ticketing systems.

Coordinate with team members, leads, vendors, and other support groups to restore service. Provide limited support for storage and backup hardware within the scope of team procedures. Follow site security, safety, change-control, documentation, and equipment-handling requirements. Maintain reliable attendance and support shift turnover by communicating open issues, completed work, and follow-up needs.
