Oberarzt / Leitender Oberarzt Radiologie mit Schwerpunkt Neuroradiologie | Traunstein, Germany | On-site

This employer is an internationally recognized specialist clinic located in the beautiful Upper Bavarian Chiemgau region. They are known for their highly specialized centers in neurosurgery, epilepsy surgery, spinal surgery, neuropediatrics, pediatric orthopedics, and orthopedics. The radiology and neuroradiology diagnostics play a crucial role in their interdisciplinary care for patients of all ages, maintaining a high professional standard. The clinic also serves as a teaching hospital for LMU Munich and PMU Salzburg.

The Role

  • Conduct and interpret radiological examinations with a primary focus on neuroradiology, while also contributing to general radiology including musculoskeletal imaging.
  • Collaborate closely with neurosurgery, neurology, pediatric neurology, and orthopedics departments.
  • Provide professional guidance to radiographers and technicians in daily operations.
  • Participate in the development and quality assurance of the radiology department and its processes.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities, including representing the chief physician in organizational and professional matters (for qualified candidates).

What You'll Need

  • Board certification in Radiology.
  • Several years of experience in diagnostic neuroradiology, with an interest in pediatric neuroradiology imaging.
  • Proficiency in independently interpreting neuroradiological CT and MRI scans.
  • Willingness to contribute to general radiological diagnostics, ideally with experience in musculoskeletal imaging, especially in adult and pediatric orthopedics.
  • No interventional neuroradiology expertise is required.
