Job Description
My client is looking for a Senior Network Architect for a full-time role on-site in Boston, MA
Candidates must be able to work without sponsorship
Manager is looking for someone who can hold their own across a broad range of core networking domains (routing/switching, firewalls, DNS/DHCP, F5), take true ownership of systems, adapt as the firm's tech stack evolves, and function as a collaborative, go-to expert.
Core Technical Requirements (Must-Haves)
- Routing & Switching – daily, foundational work
- Firewalls – constant, hands-on involvement
- DNS & DHCP – deep, confident knowledge (he specifically stress-tests candidates here)
- F5 load balancers – heavy usage, needs to know this well
- Cisco switching – including practical things like VLAN configuration
- Routing protocols – OSPF, BGP, virtual port channels, WCCP — "fair game" if it's on the resume
Nice-to-Haves (Can Learn On the Job)
- Wireless networking (supported firm-wide, but not a must-have)
- Sienna Dense Wave Division Multiplexer (DWDM) — niche, learned internally
- Silver Peak WAN optimizers
