Job Description

Hansen Talent Group is looking for a MQ Administrator to support a remote z/OS team. The ideal individual with have in-depth experience managing the middle ware on z/OS infrastructure. 

The MQ Administration will be responsible for overseeing the IBM MQ middleware systems ensuring healthy system performance and secure data flows.
Duties:
  • Install, configure, maintain, and update the MQ environment to ensure environment meets client and operational requirements. 
  • Create, manage, and troubleshoot queues to support reliable communication flows across the system
  • Monitor system health, identifying bottlenecks and provide performance tuning as needed.
  • Provide regular system testing and addressing any production issues as needed. 
  • Apply security rules and manage user groups per federal regulations and company policies.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring systems.
  • Apply patches, fix packs, and perform version upgrades.
  • Set up high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) environments.
  •  Create detailed documentation for work and change requests, ensuring audit readiness. 
Qualifications:
  • In-depth experience supporting IBM MQ middleware infrastructure and system health
  • work with MQ on z/OS
