Role Overview:

As a Business Analyst, you will work across a range of data and technology projects, helping clients translate business needs into clear, structured requirements for the design, development and implementation of data systems and solutions.

You will lead requirements gathering and discovery activities, working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, architects and data engineers to understand existing processes, identify challenges and define effective solutions. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical delivery, ensuring that data platforms, systems, integrations and processes meet business needs.

This role is suited to a Business Analyst with strong requirements engineering skills, an understanding of data and technology environments, and experience working on projects involving the development, enhancement or implementation of data systems. Exposure to AI, analytics or digital transformation projects would be beneficial but is not essential.

Responsibilities:

Lead requirements gathering through stakeholder interviews, workshops, process mapping and current-state analysis to understand business needs and define solutions.
Gather, document and manage business and functional requirements for data systems, platforms, integrations and technology solutions, translating these into clear specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, developers and solution architects to ensure requirements are understood and translated into effective technical solutions.
Document data requirements, including data flows, data structures, business rules, data quality, system interfaces and integration dependencies.
Support project delivery through requirements management, Agile ceremonies, UAT, stakeholder communication and the production of high-quality project documentation.

About the Candidate:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
1–5 years' experience as a Business Analyst, ideally working on data systems, technology implementation or digital transformation projects.
Strong requirements engineering skills, with experience gathering, analysing and documenting business and functional requirements.
Good understanding of data concepts, including data structures, data flows, data quality, data governance and system integrations, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams.
Excellent stakeholder management, analytical and communication skills, with experience supporting project delivery, Agile methodologies and UAT. Exposure to SQL, cloud data platforms, data engineering or AI projects would be advantageous.
