Lead Java AI Engineer

We are looking for a seasoned Lead Java AI Engineer to join our collaborative team. We are working to create an innovative AI marketplace that promotes collaboration, knowledge sharing, and reusability of AI solutions across teams. This platform will drive synergy and integration across diverse initiatives. Join our small, dynamic team and lead the development of this exciting product with a focus on backend development and occasional front-end contributions. Responsibilities Lead the technical development and architecture of the AI marketplace platform Partner with the front-end developer to ensure a seamless integration between backend and frontend systems Evaluate and decide on key technologies and architectural approaches, aligning them with project goals and defending choices to management Collaborate with the team to solve complex software challenges with flexibility and creativity Rapidly iterate on ideas and evolve the product based on feedback and needs Handle simple front-end development tasks to support agile delivery Design, build, and deploy AI-enabled solutions using Java technologies Lead the implementation of business-critical features powered by AI Contribute to all phases of the AI Software Development Life Cycle, including solution design, prompt engineering, model integration, evaluation, monitoring, deployment, and continuous improvement Stay updated on the latest trends in Java and AI technologies Requirements 5+ years of experience in backend development with Kotlin or Java Proven experience implementing the AI Software Development Life Cycle with a maturity level of 2.5+ At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience Expertise in ReactJS and TypeScript to support full stack development needs Strong background in building scalable, maintainable software platforms Proficiency in working independently in a lead role while collaborating effectively in a small team environment Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders Qualifications in solution design, prompt engineering, and model integration Familiarity with the evaluation, monitoring, deployment, and continuous improvement of AI solutions Excellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level) Nice to have Understanding of Gen AI-assisted development tools and workflows
