Job Description

Netzschutztechniker / Inbetriebnahmetechniker Umspannwerke m/w/d | Bonn, Germany | Hybrid This employer is a significant player in the energy infrastructure sector, actively contributing to the success of the energy transition across Western Germany. They are known for undertaking complex new build and modernization projects for substations up to 380kV. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on building a greener future. The Role • Oversee the commissioning of substations for medium, high, and extra-high voltage levels, including renewable energy integration. • Analyze and resolve faults in protection and control systems, collaborating with internal expert teams. • Program and parameterize high-tech protection and field devices from leading manufacturers (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, ABB). • Utilize advanced testing equipment (e.g., OMICROM) for precise commissioning of digital protection and control technology. • Work collaboratively with project management, planning, and installation teams. • Directly contribute to energy transition projects, including grid connection for wind and solar parks. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in electrical engineering. • Proven expertise in protection and/or control technology, with experience in commissioning switchgear. • Familiarity with communication standards (IEC 60870-5-101/103/104). • Experience with parameterization software (e.g., Siemens DIGSI, Schneider MICOM) and testing software (e.g., OMICROM TestUniverse) is advantageous. • Strong team player with excellent decision-making and communication skills, including fluent German. • Possess a Class B driver's license and willingness to travel regularly within Western Germany.
