Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Focus Interpreting is seeking a skilled Consecutive Spanish Interpreter to provide interpretation services for the 2026 Voting Meetings in Fort Bragg, CA. In this role, you will facilitate clear and accurate communication between Spanish and English-speaking participants to ensure effective engagement during the meetings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide consecutive interpretation services during voting meetings and related events, accurately conveying messages between English and Spanish speakers.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism throughout the interpretation process.
  • Prepare for meetings by familiarizing yourself with voting procedures, terminology, and relevant topics to ensure accurate interpretation.
  • Deliver interpretation in a clear and precise manner, ensuring all participants can fully understand the proceedings.
  • Work collaboratively with meeting organizers and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish with excellent oral communication skills.
  • Proven experience in consecutive interpretation, preferably in official or formal meeting settings.
  • Strong knowledge of voting processes and related terminology is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain neutrality and professionalism in sensitive environments.
  • Excellent listening, memory, and note-taking skills.
