Intervention Tutor

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Intervention Tutors to join a community-focused organization making a significant impact on the lives of young people. This role offers a unique opportunity to utilize your skills in core subjects and SEND support within schools and local authorities, fostering positive change for disengaged and vulnerable learners.

The Role

• Provide in-person, remote, and hybrid tuition in Maths, English, or Science to young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Support pupils across KS1-KS5, planning and delivering trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
• Work with students referred by local authorities and schools, including those with MLD, SLD, and PMLD.
• Raise the standard of education for young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Collaborate with a supportive SEND team and engage in knowledge sharing events.

What You'll Need

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
• At least 2 years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD.
• Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
• Enhanced DBS check (facilitated if needed) and professional references.
• Based in the UK with the right to work.
