Job Title:Lead Android Developer

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Duration: 6 Months + Extension

Bill Rate: $85/hour

Job Type: C2C/1099 Contract

Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen, H-1B, OPT-EAD, GC-EAD

Job Description :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years of professional Android development.
  • Expert-level knowledge of:
  • Kotlin
  • Jetpack Compose
  • Android Architecture Components
  • MVVM/MVI and Clean Architecture
  • Multi-module application architectures
  • Coroutines and Flow
  • Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger)
  • WorkManager and background processing
  • Mobile performance optimization
  • Application security and secure storage
  • Google Play release management and rollout strategies
  • Demonstrated experience designing and evolving enterprise-scale Android architectures.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture and distributed systems, including:
  • Microservices architecture
  • API-first development
  • REST and GraphQL APIs
  • Event-driven architecture
  • Message-driven systems (Kafka or equivalent)
  • Domain-driven design
  • Cloud-native application patterns
  • Scalability and resiliency design
  • Proven experience designing and documenting technical solutions, architecture diagrams, and engineering standards.
  • Strong understanding of backend application architecture and API platforms, including Java/Kotlin-based services and modern web application architectures.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, identity management, and enterprise security practices.
  • Experience implementing observability practices including metrics, structured logging, distributed tracing, performance monitoring, and production diagnostics.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based development workflows, and release governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions with engineers, architects, product managers, and senior leadership.
  • Proven track record of mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence across teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to think beyond mobile development and contribute to end-to-end solution architecture across applications, APIs, services, and enterprise platforms.

Nice to Have

  • Experience developing enterprise-scale financial services, banking, payments, or expense management platforms.
  • Experience designing solutions for workflow management, approval systems, policy engines, and business process automation.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience deploying and operating applications using Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized environments.
  • Experience building backend services using Java, Kotlin, or Spring Boot.
  • Experience with observability platforms, application performance monitoring, distributed tracing, analytics, and operational excellence practices.
  • Experience with mobile security, encryption, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), biometric authentication, and secure credential management.
  • Experience with iOS development, Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin Multiplatform, Flutter, or React Native.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools, developer productivity platforms, and modern engineering practices.
  • Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical systems with large-scale transaction volumes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional architecture reviews and driving technical alignment across multiple engineering organizations.
