Cyber Security Engineer with Security Clearance

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Candidates are highly preferred to sit in Washington D.C. and St. Louis at a hybrid work model. Job Description o Security Engineer: The Security Engineer designs, engineers, and implements secure architectures across all pillars of the Zero Trust framework primarily using the Microsoft security stack, including Entra ID, Defender XDR, Sentinel, and Purview.

In addition to Microsoft technologies, this role actively supports and configures core enterprise tools including Splunk for monitoring, Okta IGA for identity governance, CyberArk PAM for privileged access, and Veracode for application security. The engineer deploys identity controls, endpoint protections, and data loss prevention policies using Intune, Defender, and Purview in strict compliance with NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-207, and RMF standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Additionally, this individual collaborates with senior and junior team members, assists with project management, and communicates technical requirements and metrics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders using Jira and Confluence.
