Quick Overview
Job Description
About the Company
We’re building infrastructure that makes healthcare innovation easier. Our customers already serve 3+ million patients and manage $15+ billion in annual medical spend. Today, we work with leading healthcare groups backed by top Silicon Valley investors such as Sequoia, General Catalyst, Y Combinator, Kleiner Perkins, Stanford, Khosla Ventures, and others. Our mission is to enable more innovation in healthcare—so more patients receive affordable care.
About the Team
Our leadership previously founded and led a national digital health company (>$15M raised), with a team of 100+ employees across the US and that sold to a 1,000+-person incumbent. We’re a tight-knit team that’s driven to move fast and take on some of the biggest problems in healthcare and ultimately improve patient lives.
About the Role
Our business is growing quickly, with leading healthcare companies as customers. To keep pace, we’re bringing on a Contract Recruiter to work directly with our leadership and drive hiring across the US and Canada.
This is a hands-on, full-cycle role, not a coordination seat. You’ll run searches end to end, shape how we hire, and leave our process stronger than you found it. For the right person, there’s a path to extend the contract or convert to a full-time Talent Partner role.
What You’ll Own:
Own full-cycle hiring across multiple functions, from intake and sourcing through offer and close
Build and manage a strong pipeline of talent across the US and Canada to support company needs
Lead internal hiring efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and managing job postings
Oversee outreach and screening processes to engage the right candidates
Raise the bar on how we interview: train and coach hiring managers, calibrate interviewers, and hold the line on quality
Maintain an organized and up-to-date talent database, tracking availability and qualifications
Report weekly on pipeline health, time-to-fill, and progress against hiring goals
About You
Core Experience
2–7 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, human resources, or related roles, with a track record of closing hard-to-fill roles
End-to-end ownership of searches, including intake, sourcing, screening, interview design, offer negotiation, and close (not just coordination or top-of-funnel)
Experience recruiting in the US and/or Canada, including familiarity with market compensation and candidate expectations in both
Comfort ramping quickly as a contractor: you can plug into a new team, learn the business, and produce results in your first weeks
Excellent spoken and written communication skills
Operationally excellent, with a high daily output and precision in execution
Strong attention to detail and a track record of getting the details right
Experience hiring in healthcare or a regulated environment is a plus
What You Bring
Energy and drive; you have a hunger for self-improvement and want to be around the most talented teammates who push you to do so. (Kobe said it best.)
Excited by a fast-paced, startup culture where you’ll navigate ambiguity and solve big problems, with very high autonomy.
Talent for identifying process improvement opportunities and creative ways to better structure operations.
Interest in working in healthcare and helping healthcare innovation flourish.
Fully committed to a single full-time role (our compensation reflects this to ensure focus).
What We offer
Compassionate, fun, and mission-driven culture of excellence and innovation. (We help companies bring new life-changing therapies into the world.)
Highly competitive salary.
6-month initial contract, with the option to extend or convert to full-time based on fit and business needs
40 hours/week, remote, with core availability during Eastern business hours
Work from home, remote job, with flexibility.
