Key Responsibilities

UCOP is seeking a senior PeopleSoft HCM Business Systems Analyst to support testing, defect analysis, remediation tracking, and production validation for an Accessibility Compliance workstream in the UCPath environment. The resource will work across functional, technical, testing, accessibility, and business teams to validate PeopleSoft HCM changes and ensure that identified issues are documented, prioritized, retested, and closed effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain functional test plans, test scenarios, scripts, expected results, and traceability for accessibility-related changes.

Coordinate system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing across affected PeopleSoft HCM processes.

Analyze defects, determine functional impact, support root-cause investigation, and validate remediation results.

Track issues, risks, dependencies, retesting status, and readiness criteria through implementation.

Partner with technical teams to clarify expected PeopleSoft behavior and confirm delivered solutions meet business requirements.

Support production issue investigation using SQL, functional analysis, security review, and cross-functional troubleshooting.

Prepare testing status reports, defect summaries, decision documentation, and implementation-readiness recommendations.

Required Experience

Extensive experience supporting and testing PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 in a complex enterprise environment.

Senior business systems analysis experience with functional testing, defect management, implementation, and production support.

Experience supporting one or more PeopleSoft HCM areas, including Workforce Administration, Payroll, Benefits, or Absence Management.

Strong experience creating test plans, test cases, traceability, defect documentation, and acceptance criteria.

Experience troubleshooting complex PeopleSoft issues using SQL and functional analysis.

Strong communication, facilitation, organization, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience testing enterprise application accessibility remediation or compliance-related enhancements.

Experience with PeopleSoft Fluid, Approval Workflow Engine, security, roles, permission lists, and row-level security.

Experience with Jira or similar tools for backlog, testing, and defect management.

Experience with interfaces, Integration Broker, APIs, data conversions, Component Interfaces, or mass data loads.

Experience with UCPath or another large enterprise HR and payroll implementation.

Deliverables Expected

Comprehensive functional test plans, scripts, test data requirements, and traceability matrices.

Defect analysis, prioritization support, remediation tracking, and retest evidence.

Regression and user acceptance testing coordination and status reporting.

Implementation-readiness, go-live, and post-production validation support.

Clear documentation of unresolved risks, decisions, dependencies, and recommended next steps.
