Agentic AI Machine Learning Engineer with Security Clearance

The team I'm working with is one of the more compelling groups I've placed into; a 15–20-person ML team operating inside a major defense consultancy's National Security division, building agentic AI and cyber ML solutions from scratch and delivering them into some of the most sensitive environments in the defense and intel space. They're not a consulting bench... they're builders, and they're growing.

Role Highlights: Position: Agentic AI Machine Learning Engineer
Location: Crystal City, VA (hybrid, 1-2 days/week in office)
Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time
Salary: Up to $200,000
Clearance: TS/SCI What You'll Be Doing: Designing and building production-grade agentic AI systems for cyber and intel missions
Developing reusable agent blueprints to scale agentic delivery across client environments
Integrating LLMs and AI agents with APIs, cloud platforms, and databases
Building MLOps pipelines and observation layers for stakeholder visibility
Evaluating architectural tradeoffs and owning integrations end-to-end
Contributing to counter-AI and defensive cyber use cases What They're Looking For: 3+ years building production ML solutions including LLMs, agents, or automation frameworks
Hands-on experience with agent frameworks: LangChain, LangGraph, PydanticAI, or LlamaIndex
Cloud experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP (AWS preferred)
Docker and Kubernetes at the builder level, not user level
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree
