Job description

Position Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Software Developer to design, develop, test, implement, and support manufacturing software systems. This role involves developing new applications, enhancing existing systems, and integrating software with manufacturing equipment and shop floor automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain manufacturing software systems.
  • Develop solutions using C#, XAML, ASP.NET, JavaScript, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on solution design, system integration, and software improvements.
  • Integrate shop floor systems with custom-developed and third-party applications.
  • Troubleshoot complex software issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative solutions.
  • Support manufacturing, research and development, and quality systems.
  • Follow SDLC processes, Agile methodologies, coding standards, and version control practices.
  • Create technical documentation and improve system reliability and performance.
  • Provide production system support, including after-hours on-call coverage as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to deliver software solutions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of software development experience using Microsoft .NET technologies preferred.
  • Experience with C#, XAML, ASP.NET, JavaScript, and multi-tier application architecture.
  • Strong Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL development skills, including large-volume data processing.
  • Understanding of test-driven development, Agile methodologies, SDLC, and version control.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with manufacturing control systems, shop floor automation, PLCs, or OPC data transfer.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, YAML, and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience with Service Fabric, SSIS, Angular, or AngularJS.
  • Experience integrating manufacturing hardware and third-party software.
  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley Logix PLCs and RSLinx.
  • Exposure to Industry 4.0, digital transformation, or Windows mobile applications.
