  • Partner with customers to understand technical requirements and recommend appropriate products and applications.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering, sales, and technical support teams to resolve customer challenges.
  • Serve as the link between customers and internal teams to ensure delivery, performance, and design questions are addressed promptly.
  • Provide guidance and training on the proper use and application of cutting-tool solutions or coordinate appropriate technical support.
  • Identify customer issues, communicate findings, and proactively recommend improvements.
  • Support new customers through initial orders before transitioning ongoing account management to the responsible Sales Engineer.
  • Manage territory activities independently, prioritizing customer visits and new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of cutting-tool industry experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in technical sales, business development, or a related customer-facing sales role.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, and manufacturing applications.
  • Technical education, military training, or equivalent hands-on experience comparable to a two- or four-year degree in a technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business and build long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation, persuasion, and value-based selling abilities.
  • Consultative, customer-focused, and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to pursue professional development.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% throughout the assigned territory.
  • Located in Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arkansas, or Texas.
Why is This a Great Opportunity:

  • Comprehensive benefits package available from the first day of employment, including medical, dental, vision, disability coverage, and 401(k).
  • Opportunity to represent an established global manufacturer of innovative precision cutting tools.
  • Play an important role in expanding the company's presence and developing new customer relationships throughout the Central U.S.
  • Extensive product and technical training in the United States and internationally.
