Description
We're partnering with an established manufacturing organization in Athens, TN seeking a Graphic Designer to join its growing creative team. This is a great opportunity for an early-career designer with 1+ years of experience who enjoys detailed, production-focused design and wants to build their experience in packaging, print and brand execution. This role requires candidates to be fully onsite at their location in Athens, TN.
Working alongside the Creative Director and Senior Graphic Designer, this person will support a high volume of design projects across product labels, packaging, brochures, catalogs and other print collateral.
What You'll Do

• Create, update and maintain product labels and packaging artwork
• Design and update brochures, catalogs and other print marketing materials
• Adapt existing brand standards and templates for a variety of products and customers
• Prepare accurate, production-ready files for in-house and external printing
• Work within established templates while maintaining brand consistency
• Edit and prepare product photography for print and digital use
• Interpret product and technical information for use in packaging and label designs
• Review and proof artwork for accuracy, consistency and production requirements
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Collaborate closely with the Creative Director, Senior Graphic Designer and cross-functional teams
• Support digital creative projects as the internal creative function continues to grow

You'll join a small, collaborative creative team where your work has a direct impact on products that go to market. While the immediate focus is heavily weighted toward print, labels and packaging, there is longer-term opportunity to expand into additional digital and web projects as the internal creative function grows.

Requirements

• 1+ years of graphic design experience; strong entry level candidates with relevant internship or production experience may also be considered
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field preferred
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
• Strong interest in print, packaging and production design
• Basic understanding of print production and preparing files for production
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Packaging, label, CPG, manufacturing or other product-based design experience is a plus
