AWS Security Architect

AWS Cloud Security Architect | 6-Month Contract | London/Remote

I'm currently looking for a hands-on AWS Cloud Security Architect to join a major financial services environment on an initial 6-month contract.
London - 1/2 days per week
Remote the remainder
6-month contract
This is a role for someone who can architect AND build - not simply produce diagrams or oversee implementation.
What I'm looking for: Strong AWS security architecture experience
AWS Control Tower & Landing Zones
AWS Config & CloudTrail
IAM, KMS & Secrets Manager
Threat Detection & Security Monitoring
AWS Network Security/Protection
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & hands-on implementation
Strong Financial Services/regulated industry experience
Data sovereignty, encryption at rest & in transit
AWS Well-Architected Framework

AWS Certified Security - Specialty is highly desirable and for this requirement, effectively a must-have. CISSP or other relevant security certifications would be a strong bonus.
You'll also need to be comfortable speaking directly with clients, explaining complex security decisions clearly and advising them on AWS best practice.
