Job Description
Symmetrio is recruiting for a Medical Training and Education Lead on behalf of a confidential medical technology company developing an advanced cranial robotic navigation platform.
This is a full-time for a San Diego based medical device company.
The Medical Training and Education Lead will build and manage training programs for surgeons, clinical staff, and internal field teams to support customer education, clinical readiness, and global training initiatives.
The role requires frequent domestic and international travel. Must live near a major airport for travel requirements.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead customer education programs for surgeons, fellows, residents, and clinical staff.
- Design structured training pathways, including fundamentals, advanced, and expert-level education.
- Develop training curriculum, course outlines, learning objectives, clinical technique guides, e-learning modules, certification programs, and assessments.
- Partner with sales and commercial teams to align education programs with system trials, launches, and customer engagements.
- Create and deliver clinical and product training for sales representatives, clinical specialists, service engineers, and other internal stakeholders.
- Ensure field teams can effectively communicate clinical indications, workflows, data, and competitive positioning.
- Establish competency frameworks and certification standards for internal teams.
- Translate feedback from surgeons and clinical staff into training, documentation, and product enhancement recommendations.
- Support development of educational content, presentations, manuals, procedural guides, and training support materials.
- Assist with global training initiatives and coordination with international stakeholders.
- Support clinical evaluation training activities and alignment of training standards across global initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally with clinical, technical services, sales, marketing, product, and leadership teams.
- Participate in risk analysis, usability evaluations, design validation activities, and compliance-related education initiatives,
- Bachelor’s degree required; clinical, healthcare, or education-related background preferred.
- Experience in medical device training, clinical education, surgical robotics, navigation, enabling technologies, or clinical evaluations preferred.
- Strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience developing training materials, educational programs, or competency initiatives.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic growth environment.
- Willingness to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally, for training, education, and clinical support initiatives.
