Machine Learning Researcher

Qualcomm seeks a Machine Learning Researcher to advance AI for next generation telecommunications and media products. In this role, you will design, train, and optimize ML models for 5G, wireless, and multimedia workloads on cutting-edge chipsets and edge devices. You will explore novel deep learning and signal processing techniques, run large scale experiments, and translate research into production-ready solutions. Working in a collaborative, fast paced, engineering driven environment, you will partner with global teams to push the boundaries of connectivity and mobile intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and optimize machine learning models for wireless, 5
• G, and multimedia applications on Qualcomm chipsets and platforms.
• Research and prototype novel algorithms in areas such as deep learning, signal processing, and reinforcement learning for telecommunications and media use cases.
• Analyze large-scale datasets, build robust evaluation pipelines, and benchmark model performance under real-world constraints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional hardware, software, and product teams to integrate ML solutions into production systems and edge devices.
• Document research findings, publish results where appropriate, and present technical work to internal stakeholders and global engineering teams.
• Optimize models for deployment on resource-constrained devices, focusing on latency, power efficiency, and scalability.
