Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP FIN PS – Capital Accounting Consultant to support SAP Financials and Project System (PS) solutions for clients. The consultant will work directly with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, design and configure SAP solutions, and ensure successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate should have strong SAP PS techno-functional expertise, with experience in capital accounting, project financials, business process integration, solution configuration, testing, and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

·        Support and enhance SAP FIN / Project System (PS) solutions, with a focus on Capital Accounting and project-related financial processes.

·        Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective SAP PS solutions.

·        Design, configure, test, and implement SAP PS functionality based on client requirements.

·        Support project structures including WBS elements, networks, activities, project costs, budgets, commitments, and settlements.

·        Work with Finance and Accounting teams on capital expenditure, asset-related project costs, capitalization, and settlement processes.

·        Integrate SAP PS with SAP FI/CO and other relevant SAP modules.

·        Analyse existing business processes and recommend improvements using SAP standard functionality.

·        Participate in requirements gathering, functional design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.

·        Prepare functional specifications and work closely with technical teams for enhancements and integrations.

·        Troubleshoot production issues and provide root-cause analysis and resolution.

·        Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.

·        Work directly with clients and business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide trusted functional guidance.

·        Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with SAP best practices.

·        Participate in project planning, solution strategy, and implementation activities.

·        Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to project teams and support teams.

Required Experience

·        Strong hands-on experience with SAP Project System (PS).

·        Experience with SAP FI/CO integration with SAP PS.

·        Strong understanding of capital accounting and capital project processes.

·        Experience with WBS, Networks, Activities, Project Cost Planning, Budgeting, Commitments, and Settlement.

·        Understanding of capitalization and Asset Accounting (FI-AA) processes.

·        Experience in SAP PS configuration and troubleshooting.

·        Ability to work with business users to gather requirements and translate them into functional solutions.

·        Experience with SAP implementation, enhancement, or production-support projects.

·        Strong communication, analytical, and client-facing skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

·        Experience with SAP S/4HANA.

·        Experience with SAP Capital Investment Management / Capital Projects.

·        Knowledge of SAP Asset Accounting (FI-AA).

·        Experience with project settlement to Fixed Assets, Cost Centers, Internal Orders, or other CO objects.

·        Experience preparing functional specifications and working with ABAP teams.

·        Experience in end-to-end SAP implementation and testing.
