Location: Hartford, CT Hybrid (80% Remote / 20% Onsite)
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Position Overview

The Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking a mid-to-senior level Business Intelligence / Tableau Administrator to support enterprise reporting and analytics platforms for the CTKIND and IV-E CCWIS programs.

The candidate will be responsible for Tableau Cloud administration, incident management, troubleshooting, user support, platform monitoring, reporting deployments, and ensuring the reliability of business-critical analytics services. The role will also support Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Salesforce data environments, and MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer Tableau Cloud sites, projects, users, groups, permissions, and security across Dev, Test, and Production.
  • Monitor Tableau platform health, extract refreshes, subscriptions, and scheduled jobs.
  • Troubleshoot Tableau performance, connectivity, access, and reporting issues.
  • Deploy and promote reports across different environments.
  • Support report developers, analysts, and business users.
  • Support and troubleshoot Azure SQL Database environments used for enterprise reporting.
  • Perform SQL troubleshooting, data validation, query optimization, and reporting data analysis.
  • Monitor and support Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines loading Salesforce and other source-system data into Azure SQL.
  • Troubleshoot data-load failures, data-quality issues, and integration problems.
  • Support MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) environments and integrations impacting reporting platforms.
  • Collaborate with development, integration, architecture, and business teams during incident resolution and deployments.
  • Participate in SDLC activities and maintain technical documentation.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to team members.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience in BI, Tableau administration, enterprise reporting, or related technologies.
  • Strong experience with Tableau Cloud administration and support.
  • Experience with Salesforce objects, fields, relationships, roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and user administration.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience in Azure SQL Database or similar relational databases.
  • Experience supporting enterprise dashboards, reporting, and analytics platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with environment management, deployments, user access, and security.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, drive requirements through implementation, and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Experience with MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) and MuleSoft integrations.
  • Experience working with Salesforce data and reporting environments.
  • Microsoft Azure experience.
  • Experience working with enterprise BI/reporting architecture and best practices.

Work Authorization & Administrative Requirements

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Hybrid schedule: 80% Remote / 20% Onsite in Hartford, CT, subject to agency policy.
  • Must comply with State vendor qualification requirements.
  • Must successfully complete the DCF Child Protection Background Check.
  • Must sign the required DCF Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
