Job Role of the Field Service Engineer

A great opportunity has come to market for a Field Service Engineer to join a well-established business operating within the wastewater industry. The company provides specialist pumping solutions and maintenance services to customers across the UK.

You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of a range of pumps and associated equipment, travelling nationally to customer sites to carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns.

This is a varied, field-based role offering the opportunity to work independently, manage your own workload and develop your technical skills within the wastewater and pumping industry.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Field Service Engineer

• Previous experience working as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer.
• Experience working with pumps or similar mechanical equipment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skills.
• Willingness to travel nationally and work at customer sites.

Essential Requirements for the Field Service Engineer

• Mechanical maintenance and repair experience.
• Experience with pump systems, motors and associated equipment.
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs.
• Experience completing planned preventative maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good customer service and communication skills.

Desirable Requirements for the Field Service Engineer

• Previous experience within the wastewater, water treatment or utilities industry.
• Knowledge of submersible pumps, centrifugal pumps and pumping stations.
• Electrical fault-finding experience.
• Experience working with control panels, motors and inverters.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes.
