Job Description

Job Description:

Our client is restarting sales capacity and looking for a hungry, growth-oriented individual who can execute the foundational work. This is a true ground-floor role. You won't be handed a script and a spreadsheet — you'll be the first fully dedicated owner of our strategic sales motion, working directly with our founders to build the playbook, test what works, and scale it. If you succeed, the path forward is real and fast: strong performance in your first 90 days is an explicit trigger for a conversation about advancement, and the person who makes this function work is our leading candidate to become SDR Manager as we build out a team. We say this plainly because we mean it, not because it's a line every job posting includes.

Day to day, the job is straightforward to describe and hard to execute well: identify the companies that are genuinely a fit for what we do, prioritize them using the ICP and intent data we've already built, and break through with a coordinated, multi-touch approach — not mass cold email. Get the right person on the phone, and put them on our founders' calendar for an introductory call.

What You'll Do:

  • Own strategic, ICP-prioritized outreach — not spray-and-pray. You'll start with a curated list (our first 100 highest-fit companies and 600+ named contacts by persona) and keep expanding and prioritizing it using intent signals and firmographic data.
  • Run a coordinated, multi-touch cadence: phone calls and voicemails, email, LinkedIn outreach, and creative direct-mail touches for hard-to-reach executives — tested and refined, not random.
  • Log everything in HubSpot, and use our existing Power BI reporting to track your own performance in real time.
  • Qualify and prioritize fast — disqualify bad-fit accounts quickly rather than grinding on dead ends.
  • Book qualified introductory calls with company executives, looping in a founder as a subject-matter expert when it helps move a conversation forward.
  • Help continuously refine the playbook itself — this role has real input into how we do strategic sales, not just execution of someone else's script.

What Success Looks Like:

  • First 30 days: learn our business, ICP, and tools; run a small trial batch of prioritized outreach and share your read on what's working.
  • Days 31–60: ramp toward full activity levels and refine messaging based on real response data.
  • Days 61–90 and beyond: full ownership of a steady cadence — roughly 70–80+ calls/day, 20+ self-sourced new leads/week, 25+ new LinkedIn connections/week, and 3+ qualified introductory calls booked weekly.

What We're Looking For:

  • 1–3 years of B2B sales development experience with real, multi-channel outreach under your belt — phone-first, not just email.
  • Experience in an adjacent field like data/analytics or B2B technology is valuable — you don't need industry-specific experience in food & beverage or manufacturing to succeed here.
  • A track record of self-sourcing and prioritizing leads, not just working a list someone hands you.
  • Comfortable with a CRM (HubSpot a plus) and picking up new tools quickly.
  • Resilient and ambitious, motivated by a real incentive structure built around the meetings and outcomes you generate

Salary/Rate: $36-$55/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week. Upon conversion salary $75,000 - $100,000 (depends on experience level) + Commission + benefits.
