Position: Sr. Electrical Engineer II
Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid)
Duration: Full-time

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. An advanced degree is preferred.
• 7+ years of professional experience in electronic hardware design and development, preferably within medical devices, wearables, consumer electronics, robotics, or another regulated product environment.
• Strong expertise in analog, digital, mixed-signal, low-power, and power-management circuit design.
• Advanced proficiency with Altium Designer, including schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM management, component selection, and design release processes.
• Strong experience with microcontrollers, embedded hardware architecture, board-level interfaces, and peripheral integration.
• Strong knowledge of embedded communications, including I C, UART, SPI, USB, BLE, and other common wired and wireless interfaces.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with laboratory and test equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and power analyzers.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical investigations, perform systematic root-cause analysis, and drive engineering issues through resolution.
• Experience with design controls, risk management, verification testing, and technical documentation within a regulated product development environment is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical decisions and tradeoffs.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, supply-chain, and supplier organizations.

The successful candidate will combine deep electrical engineering expertise with strong hands-on problem-solving and technical leadership skills. You will be comfortable moving between system-level architecture and detailed board-level troubleshooting while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable, and manufacturable medical technology.
