Job Description

Location: Remote Role (Federal Client)
Duration: 12 Months

Required Qualifications
Current Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert certification or equivalent qualification acceptable to USDA.
Senior-level experience architecting and implementing enterprise Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
Advanced hands-on expertise with:

o Microsoft Power Apps.
o Microsoft Power Automate.
o Microsoft Power BI.
o Microsoft Dataverse.
o SharePoint Online and SharePoint lists.
o Microsoft 365 integrations.
o Standard and custom connectors.
o REST APIs and external-system integrations.

Experience designing Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps.
Experience developing complex workflows, approval processes, role-based access, automated notifications, and business rules.
Experience developing auditable applications involving financial, operational, or regulated data.
Experience creating solution architecture, technical documentation, configuration documentation, and operational support procedures.
Experience troubleshooting production Power Platform applications and resolving defects within established timelines.
Experience working with Agile or iterative software-development methodologies.
Knowledge of application security, privacy, personally identifiable information protection, records management, and federal cybersecurity requirements.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to business stakeholders.
Ability to work during USDA's required Eastern Time business hours.

Required Skills:
Eight or more years of overall information technology experience.
Five or more years of hands-on Microsoft Power Platform experience.
Three or more years serving as a Power Platform Solution Architect or Technical Lead.
At least two completed enterprise Power Platform implementations involving Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and SharePoint or Dataverse integrations.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous USDA, federal government, or public-sector experience.
Experience developing financial certification, obligation-management, document-clearance, or audit-readiness applications.
Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, automated deployment pipelines, solution packaging, and environment promotion.
Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control, data-loss prevention policies, and Power Platform governance.
Experience with Section 508 accessibility testing and remediation.
Familiarity with FISMA, NIST security controls, federal records management, and federal SDLC requirements.
Additional Microsoft Power Platform Developer, Functional Consultant, or Power BI certifications.
Experience delivering end-user training and structured knowledge transfer.
