Help
- Analyze management and command requirements to identify potential solutions.
- Develop technical specifications for the identified solutions selected by the command.
- Advise staff on application of information technology with respect to software capabilities, limitations, and application
- Evaluate new technology to develop mid- and long-range plans involving hardware/network/software procurement and technology upgrades.
- Familiarity with cloud computing and posses the ability to gain additional associate level knowledge in this area Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain certifications per DoD Directive 8570.1-M within six months of assuming this position.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11.

- Current Department of Army Civilian Employees In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirement for IT Specialist (Systems Analysis /Applications Software): Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1.) Experience with application of cloud technology, analytics, and cyber security; AND, 2.) Experience developing plans, procedures and standards regarding the application of information technology; AND, 3.) Experience with data management and at the edge compute capabilities; AND, 4.) General familiarity with Artificial Intelligence and machine learning; AND, 5.) Experience with enterprise level business systems and processes . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

- This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. Continued employment requires written certification that it advances the public interest.
