Facilities Engineer Sr. (Level 3)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer to support the planning, design, modification, and optimization of manufacturing and operational facilities. This role will focus on facility layouts, space planning, process-flow improvements, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external engineering partners. The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD experience, a background in manufacturing environments, and the ability to manage facilities-related projects from concept through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and recommend long-range facility and space utilization plans.
• Create and maintain detailed 2D facility layouts using AutoCAD.
• Design and optimize facility configurations to support production efficiency.
• Coordinate with Production Operations and Industrial Engineering teams on process-flow layouts and equipment clearances.
• Conduct field verification of drawings and maintain accurate as-built documentation.
• Collaborate with architectural and engineering firms to develop design criteria and facility plans.
• Review facility specifications, construction feasibility, and regulatory requirements.
• Estimate costs associated with facility modifications, equipment installation, labor, and materials.
• Support facility reconfiguration, maintenance, and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, policies, and applicable regulations.
• Monitor construction and installation activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and schedules.
• Prepare and review facility-related documentation, presentations, and project reports.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant facilities, manufacturing, or industrial engineering experience.
• 3-5 years of experience using AutoCAD for 2D drafting and layout design.
• Experience supporting production operations or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience creating and delivering presentations.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and facility layouts.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with facility space planning and utilization studies.
• Project management experience.
• Knowledge of construction coordination and facility modifications.
• Experience working with architecture and engineering consulting firms.
• Familiarity with industrial engineering principles and workflow optimization.
• Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing facilities.
