Genesis10 is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer for a contract position with a Major Energy Infrastructure Company located in Houston, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
Pay range: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
This role involves a wide spectrum of moderately difficult engineering assignments requiring technical evaluation, innovation, and judgment. The successful candidate will work independently on mid-sized projects supporting operations within the natural gas or petrochemical industry, maintaining a strong understanding of industry requirements and safety standards.

Pay range: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
This role involves a wide spectrum of moderately difficult engineering assignments requiring technical evaluation, innovation, and judgment. The successful candidate will work independently on mid-sized projects supporting operations within the natural gas or petrochemical industry, maintaining a strong understanding of industry requirements and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide spectrum of moderately difficult assignments, requiring technical evaluation, innovation, and judgement while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Work independently on mid-sized projects/technical assignments supporting operations
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry and operational requirements
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of safety requirements, produce results and meet goals
- Exhibit proficiency in company processes, policies, procedures, and guidelines established by organization and governing agencies
- Prepare and deliver presentations to individuals
- Interpret internal/external customer needs, assess requirements and identify responses
- Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance, build improvement plans and meet training needs
- Champion processes, procedures and safety standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering field from an accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- A minimum of four (4) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry
- Excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and deems safety an utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills
- Must be willing to travel up to 25%
Desired skills:
- FE Certification
- Project Management experience
- Coordination of third-party contractors
- Developing and completing equipment condition-based maintenance programs
- Repairing and improving operational reliability of electrical infrastructure and voltage systems
- Supporting electrical equipment outage and maintenance
- Maintaining electrical drawings
- Performing electrical reviews of management of change plans and work plans
- Coordinating and reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements
- Proficient in National Electric Code and industry standard methodologies
