Electrical Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer for a contract position with a Major Energy Infrastructure Company located in Houston, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

Pay range: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

This role involves a wide spectrum of moderately difficult engineering assignments requiring technical evaluation, innovation, and judgment. The successful candidate will work independently on mid-sized projects supporting operations within the natural gas or petrochemical industry, maintaining a strong understanding of industry requirements and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide spectrum of moderately difficult assignments, requiring technical evaluation, innovation, and judgement while maintaining customer satisfaction
• Work independently on mid-sized projects/technical assignments supporting operations
• Maintain a strong understanding of industry and operational requirements
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of safety requirements, produce results and meet goals
• Exhibit proficiency in company processes, policies, procedures, and guidelines established by organization and governing agencies
• Prepare and deliver presentations to individuals
• Interpret internal/external customer needs, assess requirements and identify responses
• Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance, build improvement plans and meet training needs
• Champion processes, procedures and safety standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering field from an accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• A minimum of four (4) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry
• Excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and deems safety an utmost priority
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills
• Must be willing to travel up to 25%

Desired skills:

• FE Certification
• Project Management experience
• Coordination of third-party contractors
• Developing and completing equipment condition-based maintenance programs
• Repairing and improving operational reliability of electrical infrastructure and voltage systems
• Supporting electrical equipment outage and maintenance
• Maintaining electrical drawings
• Performing electrical reviews of management of change plans and work plans
• Coordinating and reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements
• Proficient in National Electric Code and industry standard methodologies
