Software Engineer

Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep experience in backend Java development and Android application engineering. This role will focus on designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend services while also contributing to Android mobile applications. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for delivering reliable, high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance Android applications with a focus on performance, usability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrations that support mobile and web-based applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following established coding standards.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and sprint planning sessions.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to best practices for software quality, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, and system performance issues.
• Support deployment activities, testing efforts, and ongoing production maintenance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across development workflows, tooling, and engineering processes.

Requirements
Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot in enterprise or large-scale environments.
• Professional experience developing Android applications.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture principles.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Git and modern build tools such as Gradle or Maven.
• Familiarity with Linux-based development environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
• Familiarity with Android Jetpack libraries and architectural patterns such as MVVM.
• Experience with cloud platforms and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka.
• Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of application security and secure coding standards.
• Experience in high-volume, performance-sensitive application environments.
