Specialist in Trauma Surgery | Oberhausen, Germany | On-site

We are seeking a highly motivated Specialist in Trauma Surgery to join a leading hospital group with a strong reputation for its specialized surgical, orthopedic, and internal medicine departments. This facility, located on the banks of the Rhine, is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and fostering a collaborative medical environment, serving over 41,000 patients annually.

The Role

  • Actively participate in general trauma surgery consultations.
  • Provide comprehensive care for patients across the full spectrum of trauma surgery within a general and specialized hospital setting.
  • Independently perform surgical procedures for both outpatient and inpatient cases, ensuring thorough pre- and post-operative management.
  • Support medical documentation through dictation and represent the clinic in the physician assessment procedure (D-Arztverfahren).
  • Participate in the on-call duty system to ensure continuous trauma care services.

What You'll Need

  • Completed board certification as a Specialist in Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery or Special Orthopedics/Trauma Surgery.
  • Proficiency in common trauma surgical procedures and experience in interdisciplinary emergency care.
  • A desire for professional development or prior experience in a senior physician role, ideally with completed courses for the D-Arzt procedure.
  • Willingness to take responsibility for organizational and content-related processes and contribute to the advancement of the trauma surgery department.
  • An empathetic, respectful demeanor, strong teamwork skills, initiative, and flexibility.
