Linux Engineer

Pay Range: $68 - $70/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, provision, configure, maintain, and upgrade physical and virtual Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers.
• Monitor health, capacity, availability, and performance; troubleshoot storage, filesystems, services, and networking issues.
• Execute monthly patching and urgent out-of-cycle remediation using approved enterprise processes.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and automate processes using Bash or Python scripting.
• Diagnose and resolve complex Linux incidents and participate in on-call support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support critical business systems and improve operational efficiency.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on enterprise Linux administration experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
• Strong experience with provisioning, configuration, maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting of Linux systems.
• Proficiency in Ansible, Bash, Python, or another relevant scripting language.
• Solid understanding of Linux networking, DNS, storage, filesystems, and access controls.
• Experience with incident, problem, change, and service-management processes.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux, Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform, VMware, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, SolarWinds, Prometheus, Grafana, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Security, cloud, or Kubernetes certifications.
