The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, and top loaders, to move shipping containers within an intermodal yard. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring efficient flow of freight. • Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to maintain safety and operational readiness. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics and operational tasks. • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Open availability, including weekends and holidays, is required. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining workplace safety. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders/stairs on railcars. • Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.
