The Role • Operate heavy machinery to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks. • Maneuver containers within the intermodal yard using specialized equipment like hostlers. • Utilize equipment such as top loaders, side loaders, and cranes for container stacking and movement. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics tasks. • Uphold safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is essential for this role. • Experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
