Job Description

Robotics Field Engineer

Introduction

We are seeking a motivated and technically inclined Field Application Engineer to support the deployment, testing, troubleshooting, and demonstration of advanced robotic systems, including drones, quadruped robots, humanoid robots, and autonomous platforms. This opportunity is ideal for entry level candidates and early-career engineers interested in robotics, automation, artificial intelligence, and hands-on engineering. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams and customers to ensure reliable system performance, resolve technical issues, and support robotic deployments in real-world environments. This is a remote position that requires frequent travel to customer sites and project locations across the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, operate, and maintain robotic systems at customer sites and field locations.
  • Conduct field testing, system validation, data collection, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor robotic systems during remote operations and assist with operational troubleshooting.
  • Support customer demonstrations, technical presentations, product evaluations, and field trials.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, sensor, connectivity, and system integration issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify technical problems and improve system performance.
  • Communicate technical requirements, operational challenges, and solutions to customers and internal teams.
  • Document test results, troubleshooting activities, system configurations, and customer feedback.
  • Assist with robotic system integration, deployment planning, and operational readiness.
  • Travel nationwide to support customer engagements, robotic deployments, and engineering field activities.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong interest in robotics, autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to customers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in dynamic field environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently throughout the United States.
  • Valid identification and required documentation for domestic travel and customer site access.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with drones, quadruped robots, humanoid robots, or autonomous robotic platforms.
  • Familiarity with electronics, sensors, actuators, hardware interfaces, and robotic subsystems.
  • Basic programming or scripting knowledge in Python, C++, or similar languages.
  • Exposure to robotics testing, field operations, system integration, or technical support.
  • Experience with product demonstrations, customer-facing technical support, or engineering projects.
  • Ability to diagnose technical issues and adapt to changing field conditions with minimal supervision.
