The Role

• Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Utilize specialized equipment like top loaders, side loaders, and/or cranes for container stacking, movement, and organization.
• Conduct pre- and post-use equipment inspections to ensure safe and operational readiness.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics and task execution.
• Uphold a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including shifts (Day/2nd), weekends, and holidays, with open availability.
• Basic communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team.
