Education Requirements


  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Technical training in Quality Assurance, Metrology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.


Experience Requirements


  • Minimum 5-10 years of Quality Control or Mechanical Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience calibrating machine shop gauges and precision measuring equipment.

  • Previous experience in cGMP and/or ISO-regulated environments required.

  • Experience with CMMs, vision systems, profilometers, and automated inspection equipment preferred.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Programming experience with automated inspection systems, including CMMs and vision systems.

  • Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and inspection methodologies.

  • Experience performing Gauge R&R studies and measurement system analysis.

  • Technical writing experience, including quality documentation and change control processes.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.


Physical Capabilities


  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, and perform detailed inspection work throughout the shift.

  • Frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

  • Strong visual acuity for precision measurements, inspections, and computer-based tasks.

  • Comfortable working in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.


Job Duties


  • Program and maintain automated inspection systems, including CMMs, vision systems, and profilometers.

  • Calibrate machine shop gauges, measuring instruments, and quality inspection equipment.

  • Create and update measurement verification programs and quality documentation.

  • Perform Gauge R&R studies and support process validation activities.

  • Train employees on inspection methods, quality standards, and measurement equipment.

  • Review engineering changes, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with quality requirements.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend new inspection technologies and equipment.

  • Assist production and quality teams with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and day-to-day quality control operations.
