Senior Solutions Architect – AWS/Azure | Terraform | Kubernetes | GitLab

Job Description:

• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise solution architectures for mission-critical applications and services.
• Translate business, functional, and technical requirements into scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, and disaster-resilient solutions.
• Design and support cloud and data center architectures using AWS and Azure.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Architect containerized solutions using VMware VKS, Red Hat OpenShift, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, AWS Lambda, and related AWS services.
• Design and support GitLab DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD solutions.
• Evaluate existing infrastructure and recommend modernization and cloud migration strategies.
• Optimize solutions for performance, scalability, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Lead architecture reviews, technical assessments, and design validation.
• Develop architecture diagrams, interface specifications, technical design documents, and implementation plans.
• Support ATO activities, continuous monitoring, and security assessments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering and infrastructure teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Solutions Architecture experience.
• AWS and Azure experience in enterprise/multi-account environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud services: compute, storage, networking, security, and databases.
• Experience with VPC, subnets, firewalls, security groups, VPN, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute.
• Strong Terraform HCL / Infrastructure as Code experience.
• GitLab pipeline and CI/CD experience.
• Git branching, tagging, release management, and DevOps best practices.
• Kubernetes experience with AWS EKS / Azure Kubernetes.
• Experience with VMware VKS and/or Red Hat OpenShift.
• Experience developing Dockerfiles and Helm charts.
• Linux and Windows systems administration experience.
• Experience with containerization and modern application frameworks.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps, cloud security, monitoring, and compliance.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor engineering teams and influence technical decisions.
