Solutions Architect

Role Summary

The Technology Lead – Solutions Architecture provides technical leadership and solution architecture expertise for complex enterprise technology initiatives. This role translates business requirements into scalable, integrated, and sustainable solutions across Work Management, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Asset Management, and cloud technologies. The position partners with business stakeholders, program managers, architects, and IT delivery teams to support application modernization, integration, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture for Work Management, GIS, and Asset Management initiatives.
• Apply SAP Work Management expertise to align business processes with technical solutions.
• Define application architectures, integration strategies, technical designs, and implementation approaches.
• Architect applications supporting engineering, planning, maintenance, construction, and field operations.
• Provide technical leadership for cloud infrastructure and application architecture, including AWS environments.
• Lead architecture discussions with business stakeholders, program managers, architects, and IT delivery teams.
• Perform application rationalization and capability mapping to identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Recommend application modernization, integration, optimization, and risk-mitigation strategies.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, infrastructure, and technology standards.
• Mentor development teams and establish development standards and delivery best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in IT, solution architecture, enterprise application architecture, or technology delivery.
• 3+ years of experience leading solution architecture or complex technology initiatives.
• Strong experience with SAP Work Management and enterprise work management processes; SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM) experience preferred.
• Experience with GIS, geospatial data, Asset Management, and enterprise application integrations.
• Experience architecting solutions in large, complex enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and architecture, preferably AWS.
• Experience translating business processes and requirements into technical architecture and solution designs.
• Experience with application rationalization, capability mapping, APIs, middleware, microservices, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, Agile, and DevOps skills.
• Experience supporting utilities, energy, or other regulated industries is preferred.

Publishing Pay Range: $75.00 - $80.00 hourly

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
