Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who areseeking Data Specialist to join their team.
This role is central to the migration of data from our current HR systems to new HCM. Collaborating closely with Data Lead and our System Integrator, the Data Specialist will play a role in addressing the intricacies of data migration. This includes safeguarding data integrity, ensuring stringent security measures, and maintaining compliance throughout the migration process.
The specialist will contribute significantly to the Data Stream, guaranteeing that the technical facets of data migration are in alignment with the standards for data quality, security, and compliance required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks and challenges, maintaining a solution-focused mindset throughout the data migration lifecycle.
- Facilitate the detailed analysis and validation of both source and target systems.
- Engage in detailed mapping workshops, ensuring source-to-target mappings are in line with the Ceridian model for precise data integration.
- Aid in the technical setup and preparation of environments, setting the stage for successful data migration efforts.
- Validate the accuracy and integrity of migrated data through comprehensive testing and reconciliation efforts.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for integration, performance, and mock conversions.
- Oversee Dress Rehearsal activities, ensuring a thorough validation process.
- Assist with establishment and implementation of data quality standards based on initial data profiling and insights from SMEs.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated expertise in data migration projects, with a preference for experience in HR systems (like Ceridian Dayforce or similar)
- Mastery of data migration methodologies, including proficiency in SQL, ETL processes, and data mapping.
- A solid foundation in data quality management, cleansing, and reconciliation.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities, paired with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Desirable: NSW Government experience is desirable, but not essential.
