The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accurate and timely placement within the intermodal yard.
• Drive hostlers to precisely position containers and chassis throughout the yard operations.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to guarantee safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics and container movements effectively.
• Maintain a safe work environment by strictly adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• A strong emphasis on safety awareness and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs.
• Capability to climb ladders and stairs on railcars and equipment.
• Open availability for all shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required.
