Job Title: Full Stack Developer

Location: Remote and Hybrid onsite - alternate weeks at the nearest office. 

Duration: 3 months+ contract

ROLE OVERVIEW

• This role is intended for an experienced Full Stack Developer with 6-10 years of hands-on experience in enterprise application development across both front-end and back-end technologies.
• The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, Core Java, and Spring Boot, with a proven ability to design, develop, test, and support scalable business applications within complex enterprise environments.
• The role requires deep technical capabilities across UI development, RESTful services, application integration, automated testing, troubleshooting, and Agile delivery practices.

The Role:

• We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to design, build, test, and support secure, reliable, and maintainable business applications.
• The role requires the ability to translate application storyboards, use cases, and business requirements into functional solutions while collaborating with product owners, systems analysts, quality engineers, technical leads, and other delivery stakeholders.
• The successful candidate will contribute across the complete software development lifecycle and help advance engineering quality, automation, and continuous improvement.

• Build responsive user interfaces and reusable front-end components using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Develop reliable back-end services and business logic using Core Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
• Integrate user interfaces with internal applications, services, and external interfaces.
• Apply engineering best practices and actively participate in design and code reviews.
• Maintain code quality, security, organization, testability, and deployment automation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across production and non-production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Front-End Development:

• Develop responsive, accessible, and maintainable web applications using Angular and TypeScript.
• Create reusable components, services, forms, routing, and browser-side validation.
• Integrate front-end applications with RESTful services and handle errors, loading states, and data presentation.
• Apply sound HTML5 and CSS3 practices to deliver consistent and usable interfaces.
• Write and maintain front-end unit tests and support automated quality validation.

Back-End Development:

• Develop clean, reusable, and maintainable application components using Core Java and object-oriented design principles.
• Build Spring Boot services, RESTful APIs, business logic, validation, and integration components.
• Use appropriate data structures, algorithms, exception handling, concurrency, collections, and design patterns.
• Implement secure service interactions and support integration with downstream applications and data sources.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests for back-end components.

Engineering and Delivery Practices:

• Participate in requirements analysis, application design, estimation, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Use Git-based version control and standard CI/CD pipelines to build, test, and deploy application changes.
• Apply unit testing, mocking, and service-virtualization practices to improve solution quality and testability.
• Perform structured troubleshooting and triage across production and non-production environments.
• Document technical solutions, interfaces, design decisions, and operational considerations.
• Work effectively in Agile teams and communicate software changes clearly to business and technology stakeholders.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring (Must have skills):

• 6-10 years of hands-on software development experience with enterprise web applications and full stack solution delivery, including design, development, testing, and support.
• Strong Angular experience, including TypeScript, JavaScript, components, services, forms, routing, dependency injection, browser-side validation, and unit testing.
• Strong Core Java experience, including object-oriented programming, collections, exception handling, concurrency, data structures, algorithms, and commonly used design patterns.
• Strong Spring Boot experience, including the development of RESTful services, business components, validation, exception handling, application configuration, and service integrations.
• Strong full stack integration skills, with the ability to connect Angular applications to Java and Spring Boot services and troubleshoot issues across application layers.
• Strong web-development skills, including HTML5, CSS3, JSON, XML, REST, and working knowledge of SOAP-based integrations where applicable.
• Experience with automated testing, including JUnit, Jasmine, mocking frameworks, and service virtualization or comparable testing approaches.
• Experience with CI/CD and source control, including Jenkins, Git, or comparable enterprise engineering tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across production and non-production environments.
• Effective communication and documentation skills with the ability to collaborate across business, analysis, development, quality engineering, and technical leadership teams.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and using work-management tools such as Jira or comparable platforms.

Nice to have skills:

• Experience with Ionic or comparable hybrid application frameworks.
• Knowledge of application security practices and secure software-development principles.
• Experience modernizing existing user interfaces or integrating newly developed interfaces with legacy applications and services.
• Experience working within globally distributed delivery teams.
• Familiarity with both Agile and formal project lifecycle methodologies.

Role Expectations:

• Full stack ownership: Contribute meaningfully to both Angular front-end development and Java/Spring Boot back-end development.
